Donald Jenkins has 27 years of experience producing festivals, poetry slams and showcases, cabarets, gigs, clubnights and conferences.
He has programmed stages and events for Lindisfarne Festival, Newcastle Poetry Festival, Summer Streets and more; and produced for venues such as Northern Stage, Cobalt Studios and Gosforth Civic Theatre.
He has produced cultural programmes for Poet in the City, Elders Council of Newcastle, Tyne and Wear Buildings Preservation Trust, Curious Monkey Theatre and SlamFresh CIC.

Donald produced the Newcastle Poet in the City ‘Producers Programme’ across two years – taking a group of young people wanting to learn how to produce and supporting them through the process of creating their own event from start to finish.
Tyne and Wear Buildings Preservation Trust
Donald produced ‘Stories of the Stones’ community project for Tyne and Wear Buildings Preservation Trust – working with local residents to create a book of poems honoring ancestors buried in Elswick cemeteries.
